Patricia Lynn Hammett (Patty), 49, passed away January 4, 2013 at Providence Medford Medical Center from complications caused by pneumonia and cancer. She was born in Klamath Falls, Oregon, February 6, 1963.
She graduated Klamath Union High School in 1981 and went on to earn her degree in accounting from the Oregon Institute of Technology in 1983. She was an active member in Soroptimist International of Ashland and worked as the Administrator of the Conversations with God Foundation. She worked tirelessly to bring about a better humanity and touched the lives of many. She was remarkably full of life, always giving of herself without hesitation or expectation.
She is survived by her two sons, Christopher (20) and Jared (18); her mother, Ruth St. John; her father, Fred Moorman; and her brothers, David Moorman and Don St. John. In her eyes, family wasn't limited by blood, and she welcomed everyone into her life with open arms.
A memorial service will be held Friday, January 11, 2013, at 10:00 a.m., at the Rogue Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 87 4th Street, Ashland, Oregon 97520.
