Our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Mary Jo Stockfleth, age 67, was called home to Heaven January 4, 2013. Mary Jo was born February 13, 1945 at home in Chester, Minn. to Newton James and Lucille "Muller" Haggerty.
Mary Jo married her soulmate, James "Jim" Stockfleth, February 1, 1965, in Rochester, Minn.
Mary Jo worked in housekeeping for local motels and was an employee of ITT Continental Bakery in Rochester, Minn., before moving to Medford, Ore. in 1976. She then resumed work as a security guard for local businesses, in janitorial for the City of Medford, pear packing for SOS Packing, and owner/operator of Body Shapers of Medford. Her most beloved job though was as a daycare provider for a multitude of children who she nurtured and loved as her own. Once Mary Jo retired, she took a part-time position as delivery driver for Pharmacy Express in Central Point, Ore. where she enjoyed making personal connections with the customers each week as she made her rounds.
Mary Jo was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Jacksonville, Ore., along with enjoying her hobbies: watching NASCAR racing, camping, bowling, traveling, playing games, and most of all spending time with her family and friends.
Along with her devoted, loving husband, Jim, Mary Jo is survived by four children, Vicki Fillmore (Danny), of Oregon, Scott Stockfleth (Sherri), of Utah, Kevin Stockfleth and Michelle Whipps (TJ), both of Oregon; 12 natural grandchildren, with several additions through marriages; one great-granchild and expecting a second; two sisters, Theresa Dahl, of Minn. and Kathleen Heath (Chuck), of Kansas. She was preceded in death by parents; sister, Betty Fellows; and granddaughter, Nichole Hicks.
