  • The St. Mary's girls basketball team used balanced scoring to defeat Rogue River 50-32 in Southern Cascade Hybrid action on Tuesday.
    Emily Alvarez had 11 points and 11 of her teammates also scored in the victory.
    Rose Alvarez and Lillian Martin chipped in six points apiece for the Crusaders (13-2, 1-0 SCH), who led 13-2 after the first quarter and 22-11 at halftime. Martin added three assists and two steals.
    Emily Roldan turned in 15 points, four rebounds and two steals for the Chieftains (0-11, 0-1), who committed 22 turnovers.

    Cascade Christian got 18 points, nine rebounds and four steals from Michelle Kinney in improving to 8-5, 1-0 SCH. Alaina Thomson added 16 points and Stephanie Croy nine boards.

    Krista Sites scored 10 points, Lexie Turner added eight and Megan Parks hit 4 of 6 free throws in the last two minutes to help undefeated Lost River (15-0) avoid the upset.
    Natalie Wellen added seven points for Illinois Valley (7-6)
