Ellen Plummer has joined the medical staff at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center, providing specialized hematology and oncology care to children and adolescents.
Plummer earned her medical degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in Lexington. She served her pediatric residency with the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, where she also completed her fellowship training in pediatric hematology and oncology.
Plummer's medical training includes involvement in research efforts focused on treating childhood hematologic disorders and malignancies.
She handles pediatric patients with cancer and blood disorders in the hospital as both inpatients and outpatients.
Umpqua Bank has hired Nancy Hay as a mortgage loan officer for its home lending division in Jackson and Josephine counties. Hay has lived in Oregon for more than 16 years and has been in the mortgage industry since the late 1990s. She has served as a state director for the Home Builders Association and associate vice president for the Lane County HBA.
Erin Zakowski has been promoted to assistant general manager of Kaleidoscope Pizzeria and Pub on Crater Lake Highway. Zakowski joined Kaleidoscope in August 2005 as the in-house accountant. She was later promoted to office manager.
