Balanced Spartans pour it on late in 5-2 victory

Five players got into the scoring act for the Southern Oregon Spartans, which derailed Seattle for a 5-2 victory Friday in the first of a two-game Western States Hockey League series at The RRRink.

The Spartans (15-12) hit the Totems (9-17-2-5) with three third-period goals, breaking a 2-all tie entering the frame.

Eli Bordak, Ryan Devine and Avik Bordak all tallied goals in the third period, while Max Rasmussen and Kevin Edwards both netted goals in the opening frame for the Spartans.

The Totems earned both of their goals in the second period.
