STANFORD, Calif. — C.J. Wilcox scored 27 points and made a pair of crucial 3-pointers as Washington held off Stanford 65-60 Saturday night.
Aziz N'Diaye added 14 points as the Huskies (11-5, 3-0 Pac-12) opened conference play with three straight wins on the road for the first time since 1912. Desmond Simmons added 13 rebounds.
Dwight Powell scored 19 points to lead the Cardinal (10-7, 1-3), who have lost three of four. The lead changed hands 15 times and was tied on nine occasions before the Huskies gained a foothold early in the second half.
UCLA 78, Colorado 75
At Boulder, Colo., Travis Wear scored 14 of his career-high 23 points in the second half and Jordan Adams' two free throws with 7 seconds left sealed UCLA's ninth straight victory.
Adams finished with 18 points for UCLA (14-3, 4-0 Pac-12). Shabazz Muhammad added 14 and Kyle Anderson 12 for the Bruins, whose winning streak is their longest since a 10-game streak in 2008-09.
UCLA, coming off a season-low 57-point scoring output, improved to 6-1 all-time against the Buffaloes. Spencer Dinwiddie led Colorado (11-5, 1-3) with 23 points. Josh Scott and Askia Booker had 18 each for the Buffaloes, losers of three of their last four.
California 67,Washington State 54
At Berkeley, Calif., Tyrone Wallace scored a season-high 16 points, Justin Cobbs made six free throws in the final two minutes and California overcame a sloppy offensive performance to beat Washington State.
Allen Crabbe had 14 points. Cobbs finished with 10 points, five assists and five rebounds for the Golden Bears (10-6, 2-2 Pac-12), who won for just the fourth time in 10 games after opening the season 6-0.
It definitely wasn't pretty.
California was held without a basket over the final 4:59 but went 11 of 12 at the free-throw line down the stretch to hold off Washington State (9-7, 0-3).
Brock Motum scored 16 points for the Cougars, and Mike Ladd had 12 points and 12 rebounds.
USC 76, Utah 59
At Salt Lake City, J.T. Terrell scored 14 points and Southern California defeated Utah to snap a string of 14 straight road losses.
Dewayne Dedmon had 13 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks for the Trojans (7-10, 2-2), while Jio Fontan and Byron Wesley scored 13 points each.
The Utes (8-8, 0-4) were within 50-42 on Jarred DuBois' 3-pointer with 10:26 remaining. USC went on a 7-0 run, led by Dedmon's put-back dunk off a missed free throw.
Terrell's steal and fast-break layup, then two free throws by Terrell after a technical foul on the Utah bench, gave USC a 57-42 lead. Utah got back within 10 on Jordan Loveridge's 3-pointer with 5:13 left but could not pull any closer as the Utes shot just shot 37.5 percent overall, including 4 of 15 from 3-point range.
