Genealogocial mystery topic of Mayflower descendants luncheon

Southern Oregon Mayflower descendants will hear about a genealogical mystery during a luncheon gathering at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at Black Bear Diner, 1150 E. Barnett Road, Medford.

The speaker will be Anne Billeter, director of the Jackson County Genealogy Library. In her talk, "The Mystery of the Hatbox and the Suitcase," she will describe efforts to track down the story behind an anonymous donation to the Genealogical Society. The hatbox and suitcase it received were filled with papers but few other clues.
