The steel-string guitarist will perform his flat-picking style of bluegrass and old-time melodies and rhythms from the ’30s — made famous in the ’60s by Doc Watson and Clarence White — at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, in Headwaters Hall at the GEOS Institute, 84 Fourth St., Ashland.
