Felony arrests

  • Drugs — Weston James Smith, 49, of the 500 block of North Front Street, Medford. Medford police Monday arrested Smith on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of oxycodone. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail without bail.
  • Drugs — Jackie Ellen Thornton, 40, no known address. Medford police Tuesday arrested Thornton on charges of possession of methamphetamine and second-degree trespassing. She was lodged in jail on $10,000 bail.
  • Drugs — Toby Jo Nigrell, 38, no known address. Central Point police Tuesday arrested Nigrell on charges of possession of methamphetamine and two counts of failure to appear in court. He was lodged in jail on $20,000 bail.
  • Drugs — Kyra Leigh Cardoza, 24, of the first block of Alida Street, Ashland. Ashland police Tuesday arrested Cardoza on charges of possession of methamphetamine and recklessly endangering a minor. She was lodged in jail without bail.
  • Drugs — Garrett Russell Lunsford, 22, of the 700 block of King Street, Medford. Lunsford appeared Tuesday in Jackson County Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with possession of methamphetamine. He was booked into jail and released.
  • Drugs — Sean Alan Six, 24, no known address. Six appeared Tuesday in Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with possession of methamphetamine and possession of hydrocodone. He was booked into jail and released.
  • Drugs — Aimee Marie Grant, 25, of the 2100 block of Poplar Drive, Medford. Grant appeared Tuesday in Circuit Court on an indictment charging her with possession of heroin. She was booked into jail and released.
  • Rape, sodomy — Ivan Avila-Carrillo, 26, no known address. Medford police Tuesday arrested Avila-Carrillo on charges of first-degree rape and first-degree sodomy. In addition, Immigration and Customs Enforcement charged him with suspicion of being in the country illegally. He was lodged in jail without bail.
