  • A burglar smashed into Connecting Point Computer Center Wednesday night and snatched four iPad minis, Medford police said.
An alarm alerted Medford police of the break-in at the store at 545 Stevens St., Medford, at 11:45 p.m. Wednesday.
Upon arriving, officers found the glass front door broken out, but the suspect was gone, police said in a news release today.
After conducting an inventory, the business determined that four iPad minis had been stolen, police said.
Surveillance video showed the burglar break out the glass in the front doors with a bar, enter the business and run directly to the iPads. He grabbed the small tablet computers and ran out. He was in the store for less than 30 seconds, police said.
Police estimated the total loss at about $3,000.
After watching the video, police described the burglar as a man of average height and a slender build. He wore a light-colored sweater or jacket with thin, dark horizontal stripes and dark athletic pants with a white vertical stripe.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Medford police Detective Katie Ivens at 541-774-2230.
