Charles Walker

Charles Chuck LeRoy Walker, 79, of Eagle Point, Ore., passed away January 14, 2013, at Providence Medford Medical Center.

 

Chuck was born May 18, 1933 in Central Point, Ore. to Wilbur and Audrey Walker. He attended Central Point High School and was the quarterback of the football team. After graduating, he married his high school sweetheart, Beverly Hagen, who had been the high school prom queen.

 

He enlisted in the Army and served two years before being honorably discharged.


Chuck attended Oregon Institute of Technology and after graduating went to work at Crater Lake Machinery for many years. He also worked for Pap Caterpillar as a sales manager then later worked with his brother, Monte Walker building forest service roads.


Chuck loved golf, camping, fishing, rock hunting, farming, crossword puzzles, going to the coast, and most of all his family.


He was preceded in death by Beverly, his wife of 60 years and now they are together again. He is survived by his daughters, Lori and Kathy (Dan); grandson, Erik; and two sisters, Delores Walker and Gloria Hinderer. You will be greatly missed by many We love you Dad. Lori, Skippy, Kathy, Dan and Erik.
