Wells Fargo donates to schools

As part of its ongoing support of public education, Wells Fargo donated $1,000 each to 11 elementary schools in Southern Oregon Thursday at a breakfast event in Medford.

The schools included Howard, Jefferson, Jackson, Oak Grove, Roosevelt, Washington, and Wilson elementary schools in Medford, Walker Elementary School in Ashland, Central Point Elementary School in Central Point, White City Elementary School in White City and Lincoln Elementary in Grants Pass.

All of the recipients Wells Fargo selected are Title 1 schools, a federal designation indicating they have a high number of students from low-income families. Each principal will determine how to use the unrestricted funds to benefit students.
