Felony arrests

  • Rape — Sean Riley Burns, 22, of the 200 block of West Rapp Road, Talent. Ashland police Tuesday added charges of third-degree rape, third-degree sodomy and third-degree sexual abuse against Burns. He remained lodged in the Jackson County Jail on $10,000 bail.
  • Vehicle theft — Joe Lloyd Brotton, 37, of the 200 block of Chestnut Street, Medford. Medford police Tuesday arrested Brotton on a charge of unlawful use of a motor vehicle. He was lodged in jail and released because of overcrowding.
  • Drugs — Ashley Marie Auger, 25, of the 1600 block of North Riverside Avenue, Medford. Auger appeared Tuesday in Jackson County Circuit Court on an indictment charging her with delivery of heroin, possession of heroin and possession of methamphetamine. She was booked into jail and released.
  • Assault — Justin Lawrence Bennett, 25, of the 7800 block of Rogue River Highway, Grants Pass. Jackson County sheriff's deputies Tuesday arrested Bennett on charges of third-degree assault, recklessly endangering a minor, second-degree criminal mischief and second-degree disorderly conduct. He was lodged in jail on $36,000 bail.
  • Drugs — Malcolm Thane McCallum, 49, of the 700 block of Walker Avenue, Ashland. McCallum appeared Tuesday in Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with possession of methamphetamine. He was booked into jail and released.
  • Mistreatment — Jason Randall Feldman, 37, of the first block of Wymer Street, Ashland. Ashland police Tuesday arrested Feldman on four counts of first-degree criminal mistreatment, first-degree theft, four counts of second-degree theft and second-degree forgery. He was lodged in jail on $45,000 bail.
  • Sex offender — Matthew James Forte, 33, of Montague, Calif. Sheriff's deputies Tuesday arrested Forte on charges of failure to register as a sex offender and a fugitive warrant out of California. He was lodged in jail without bail.
