  • Rogue Valley social justice advocates plan to participate in a rally for affordable health care Monday, Feb. 4, at the capitol building in Salem.
    Health Care for All Oregon/Rogue Valley organizers are coordinating bus trips to the rally and invite public participation.
    Buses will leave Ashland, Medford and Grants Pass at 6 a.m. 6:45 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. respectively. Bus seats are available on a sliding scale of $5 to $35 apiece. Find reservation information online at www.peacehouse.net. Carpools also will be available. Return bus times will be 8 to 9 p.m.
    The rally will be on the first day of the Oregon Legislature's 2013 session. Sixty-one organizations will attend from across the state. There will be music, speakers and special events.
    Attendees are asked to wear red, bring signs, a lunch and rain gear to be prepared for any weather.
