  • Musicians gather to celebrate the life of Max Pinsky, son of David Pinsky, a founding member of the Ashland Blues Society.
    The community is invited to celebrate the life of Max Pinsky who died Jan. 15 in Ashland. The show starts at 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, at Alex's Plaza Restaurant and Bar, 35 N. Main St., Ashland.
    Pianist Jim Quinby will open the show with Broadway Phil and the Shouters taking the stage next. Duke Street follows, then hear The Rogue Suspects with Rock Hard Horns, Brent Norton with Mark Stever and Gary Halliburton, Marcella Rose Ruikis with Rock Hard Horns, and the Robbie DaCosta Trio to finish out the night.
    Suggested donation is $5 to $10. All proceeds will go to assist the Pinsky family with funeral costs and to establish a memorial scholarship in Max's name.
