Days after a mass of stagnant air was pushed out of the valley by a coastal cold front, weather conditions are again predicted to trap potentially polluted air here, weather officials said.

The National Weather Service has issued an air stagnation advisory that will be in effect from 7 p.m. Wednesday until 9 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5.

High pressure will build across the region and create inversions in valleys across Southern Oregon by Wednesday evening. The sluggish air movement will increase the chance for trapped pollutants, which will degrade air quality.

The advisory is in effect for the Rogue Valley, Klamath Basin and Grants Pass north to Roseburg.

Those with sensitive respiratory conditions like asthma are urged to use caution when recreating outdoors.
