The South Medford White team defeated Brookings, 54-30, for the sixth-grade division championship in the Comet Classic AAU basketball tournament this past weekend.
South Medford, which went 4-0 in the tourney, got 12 points from Bryson Breeze and nine rebounds from Thomas Fealey and qualified for the state tournament in March.
