The senior wing scored 10 of his 17 points in the fourth quarter as the Chieftains rallied for a 53-48 victory against St. Mary’s in Southern Cascade Hybrid action. He also grabbed eight rebounds.
Evan Givens, Butte Falls boys basketball
The junior wing turned in 20 points, seven rebounds and three steals as Butte Falls downed North Lake 55-47 for its third straight Mountain Valley League victory.
Brandon Robertson, South Medford boys basketball
The junior reserve helped rally the Panthers to a 73-66 triple-overtime win over SOH-co-leader Roseburg. He made two 3-pointers late in regulation and another in the second OT, finishing with a career-high 14 points.
Tyler Thomas, Crater wrestling
The unranked junior won the 120-pound title in the Reser’s Tournament of Champions. The seventh seed defeated two former state champions along the way, helping the Comets to seventh place.
