  • The Cascade Christian boys basketball team got off to a slow start against one of the better Class 1A teams in the state but found its stride late in the contest on Monday.
    Junior forward David Sellers poured in 19 points for the Challengers, who ran away with it in the second half of a 69-43 nonconference victory over Elkton at Cascade Christian High.
    "We really got our fastbreak going in the second and fourth quarters and that really opened things up," said Challengers coach Brian Morse. "We spread the court well when we were attacking."
    Sophomore guard Cody Coggins knocked down a pair of 3-pointers for the Challengers (13-5) and finished with 12 points. Alex Miller chipped in 11 points.
    Elkton (15-5) was paced by Colton Maxwell's 15 points.
