  • Marilyn Jean King passed away Tuesday, January, 15, 2013, at her home. She was born February 18, 1941, in McMinville, Ore. to Frank and Nancy Arthur who preceded her in death. She had one brother, Larry Arthur who also preceded her in death; and two sisters, Leona and Margret who have survived her.
    In July 1965 she married to Robert James King (who preceded her in death also) and they had three boys, Kerry, Robert, and John King, and was a foster mom to many of the JOEs (Junior Order of Eagles) whom she considered her children as well. She has eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; as well as countless others from the foster children she had.
    Marilyn worked for Harry and David for just over 15 years and was well loved. She was a member of the local gleaners helping to gather food and clothing for home-bound persons.
    There will be a service for Marilyn at 2:00 p.m., February 2, 2013, at the West Main Church of Christ, 1701 W. Main St., Medford, Ore. Friends and family to gather at her eldest son's house after the service. She will be laid to rest at the Eagle Point National Cemetery with her husband, Robert, in a private ceremony at a later date.
