Explore the minds of artists at an exhibit at the Schneider Museum of Art in Ashland and lecture next-door.
“Seeing 8,” a show at the Schneider Museum of Art in Ashland, showcases the works of seven Southern Oregon University faculty members and a recent graduate through Feb. 28.
Perhaps the most striking piece is Miles Inada and Ian Chachere’s “Herakles,” depicting a lion-skin-clad hero battling terrifying monsters. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
One of the artists, Marlene Alt, who teaches sculpture at SOU, will give a talk about her career at 5:30 tonight in the Meese Auditorium in the Center for the Visual Arts next-door.
