  • KLAMATH FALLS — Alex Miller accumulated 21 points, seven assists and five rebounds as the Cascade Christian boys basketball team survived a turnover-mired first half for a 72-53 victory over host Triad Christian on Monday.

  • KLAMATH FALLS — Alex Miller accumulated 21 points, seven assists and five rebounds as the Cascade Christian boys basketball team survived a turnover-mired first half for a 72-53 victory over host Triad Christian on Monday.
    The Challengers (17-5), who led by just one point over the Class 1A Timberwolves, cleaned up their mistakes in the second half and wound up outscoring Triad 38-20 the rest of the way.
    David Sellers went for 16 points and 12 rebounds for the Challengers, and Cody Coggins pitched in 14 points.
    The Timberwolves (16-5) received 17 points apiece from Gabe Ovgard and Thomas Holland.

    HOSANNA CHRISTIAN 48, PROSPECT 18 — At Prospect, with two of its starters sidelined with illness, Prospect had a hard time hanging with Mountain Valley League-leader Hosanna Christian.
    Alee Pinkerton scored 11 points and all three of the Cougars' 3-pointers. Prospect is 7-10, 5-7 in the MVL.
    The Lady Lions (16-4, 11-1) received 13 points from Carly Bigby.
