Women and politics focus of discussion

The Ashland chapter of the American Association of University Women will hold a community forum on "Women in Politics: Electing Women to Public Office" at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at the Masonic Lodge, 570 Clover Lane, Ashland.

The panel discussion will focus on breaking barriers for women seeking public office.

Panel members will be Ashland City Councilor Carol Voisin, Josephine County Commissioner Cherryl Walker and Joyce Segers, former candidate for Oregon's 2nd Congressional District.
