Felony arrests

  • Aggravated theft, theft — Lukas Kristopher Short, 34, of the 900 block of Hamilton Street, Medford. Medford police Tuesday added four counts of first-degree aggravated theft, two counts of first-degree theft and a probation violation against Short. He remained lodged in the Jackson County Jail without bail.
  • Drugs — Shawna Marie Avey, 38, no known address. Ashland police Tuesday arrested Avey on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drugs near a school and second-degree trespassing. She was lodged in jail and released because of overcrowding.
  • Assault, drugs — Nicholas Bradley Cleveland, 24, of the 100 block of Meadow View Drive, Phoenix. Phoenix police Tuesday arrested Cleveland on charges of felony fourth-degree assault and possession of oxycodone. He was lodged in jail on $25,000 bail.
  • Theft — Tyree Anthony Hairston, 22, of the 1200 block of West Eighth Street, Medford. Hairston appeared Tuesday in Jackson County Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with first-degree theft and second-degree theft. He was booked into jail and released.
