WALNUT CREEK, Calif. — The sixth-ranked Oregon State baseball team has been selected to finish third in the Pac-12 Conference in a vote by the league's coaches.
The Beavers tallied 87 total points and received three first-place votes. Oregon State is six points behind No. 1 Stanford, which received five first-place votes, and three behind No. 2 UCLA, which received two first-place tallies.
Oregon is fourth with 73 points, followed by No. 5 Arizona (65), No. 6 Arizona State (58), No. 7 California (40) and Washington State and USC, which tied for eighth with 32 points apiece. Washington is 10th at 28 points with No. 11 Utah garnering 12 points.
Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own teams. Ten points are awarded for a first-place vote, nine points for a second-place vote and so on.
