  • The Southern Oregon Photo Association presents a photography program by Deb Harder at 7 tonight at Twin Creeks Retirement Community, 888 Twin Creeks Crossing, Central Point.
    Harder will show images of wildlife, portraits, landscapes and scenes of Ireland and London. Her photos won several top awards at a convention of 32 Northwest camera clubs last year.

    The Siskiyou Chapter of the North American Rock Garden Society will meet at 7 tonight in Lidgate Hall at United Congregational Church of Christ, 1801 E. Jackson St., Medford.
    The free meeting, titled "Tripping on the East Side," will feature Kelley Leonard presenting a slide show of plants, animals and the people of Harney County from her recent trip to southeastern Oregon to attend the Eriogonum Society conference. Refreshments will be served.

    Jackson County Animal Care & Control will host its monthly low-cost pet vaccination and nail-trimming clinic from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at 5595 S. Pacific Highway, Phoenix.
    Vaccinations cost $10, and nail trimmings cost $5. Only cash is accepted. Shots available include rabies and distemper, and a parvo booster for dogs, and a rabies and distemper booster for cats. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old. Animals on antibiotics, in heat or on cortisone products cannot be vaccinated.
    Dog and cat licenses will be available for purchase with the rabies certification.
    The Jackson County Genealogy Library will hold a free class on the basics of building a family tree from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at 3405 S. Pacific Highway, Medford.
    Rogue Valley Genealogy Society president Charleen Brown will teach participants how to get started on a family tree and what documents to search for.
