David Sellers recorded 17 points and 12 rebounds for the Cascade Christian boys basketball team in a 58-51 nonconference game against Rogue Valley Adventist Monday.
As the Red Tail Hawks made a late-game surge, the Challengers held their ground to come away with a 58-51 victory at Cascade Christian High.
With the game well in hand, the Challengers (20-5) pulled their starters and cleared their bench with 5:37 remaining. The Red Tail Hawks (18-4) took advantage by finishing the game on a 19-2 run.
Cascade Christian, which finished 8-0 in the Southern Cascade Hybrid, hosts the winner of today's contest between St. Mary's and Lakeview on Friday for the SCH tournament title.
Cody Coggins dropped in 10 points and Alex Miller added eight points and four assists for the Challengers.
RV Adventist's Caleb Allen registered 23 points, nine rebounds and four steals, and Micah Neufeld went for 14 points, three boards and three assists. Jonathan Alvarez pitched in eight points and four assists.
