Drug investigators have seized methamphetamine, packaging, scales, a shotgun and $3,608 alleged to be proceeds from drug trafficking from a White City home.
After many months of investigation, the Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement team got a search warrant for a home in the 3400 block of Avenue C and went there at about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, MADGE Lt. Brett Johnson said.
Investigators found about 3 ounces of methamphetamine, along with the other items believed to be related to drug sales, and arrested Sergio Castro-Gonzalez, 23, of White City on charges of possession, delivery and manufacture of methamphetamine. Castro was lodged in Jackson County Jail, where he remained Thursday on $1,010,000 bail.
A man showed up at the residence during the investigation, but ran when investigators tried to question him, said Johnson.
He was arrested on unrelated warrants charging him with failing to appear on a past meth-possession charge. He also remained in jail Thursday on $4,000 bail.
