  • Bob and Donna Ruth of Phoenix celebrated their 50th anniversary by taking a cruise.
Bob Ruth married Donna Lissner Feb. 2, 1963, at Grace Lutheran Church in Forest Hills, N.Y. They have three children: Lisa Sommer of Central Point, Louis Ruth of Medford and Tina Lopez of Medford; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The couple moved to Oregon in 1973. Bob was a bank teller in New York, and worked at Smith Lumber Co. until he retired. He was the former owner of Frezzy Freddie's Restaurant, and later owned the Golden Eagle Courier Service.
Donna worked at Jackson County Education Service District as a teacher's aide for the disabled. Later, she worked for Tour Time Travel until she retired, then she worked with her husband at the courier service until they sold the business.
They currently "enjoy every moment of every day together," and are members of Ascension Lutheran Church in Medford.
