Jennifer Kaye Leavens and Kevin Bradley Johnson Jr. were married Oct. 13, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Medford. Father Kelly Vandehey officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Cindy Leavens of Medford and the late Bob Leavens. A 1996 graduate of South Medford High School, she received a bachelor's degree in human communication in 2003 and a master's degree in teaching in 2004 from Southern Oregon University. She works as an elementary-school teacher for the Medford School District.
The groom is the son of Kevin and Judy Johnson of Astoria. A 1997 graduate of Astoria High School, he received a bachelor's degree in economics from University of Oregon in 2001. He works for Loomis in Medford.
Matron of honor was the bride's sister-in-law, Anne Leavens of Medford. Bridesmaids were the bride's friend, Sandi English of Medford, and the groom's sisters, Laura Johnson of Astoria and Kayla Johnson of Gresham.
Best man was the groom's friend, Brad Curs of Columbia, Mo. Groomsmen were the groom's friends, Ken Rust of Lake Oswego and Seth White of Portland, and the bride's brother, Mike Leavens of Medford.
Flower girl was the bride's cousin, Madyson Sullivan of Tigard. Ring bearers were the bride's relatives, Cole Leavens of Medford and Kaleb Jackson of Tigard, and the groom's friend, Wyatt Shigley of San Diego.
Following the ceremony, a reception hosted by the parents of the bride and groom was held at the bride's uncle's house.
The couple plan a wedding trip to Maui, Hawaii, in June. They are living in Medford.
