  • The Bad Film Society screens 1943 science-fiction classic “Missile to the Moon” in Ashland.
The society gathers at 6 p.m. in the basement of the Ashland Elks Lodge for a program including the space extravaganza and other science-fiction shorts and trailers. Tonight's shorts are “MANT!,” the B-movie Joe Dante made to include in his movie “Matinee,” and “The Sign of the Sphinx” — the ninth chapter of the Batman serial from 1943.
Visitors should bring food for a potluck dinner and use the lodge's back entrance on Will Dodge Way. Admission is $4. See www.badfilmsociety.org for details.
