Registration for anyone interested in becoming a volunteer chaplain for Asante Three Rivers Medical Center is open now.
A workshop is planned March 14 and 15 for those interested in helping hospital patients and families who are working through crisis brought on by health issues.
"We are here to listen to patients and families in their time of crisis and offer spiritual support during illness and loss," said coordinator and chaplain Sandi Richard.
All phases of public ministry will be taught, including compassionate listening, spiritual assessment, interfaith ministry, spiritual intervention and grief counseling.
Registration is open through March 10. The workshop is free, but space is limited to 12 people. For more information, call 541-472-7234 or email Sandra.Richard@Asante.org.
