Bavarian Night on Mount Ashland

You don't have to climb the Alps to find a Bavarian-style bratwurst-and-beer experience — Mt. Ashland Ski Area will host its Bavarian Night on Saturday, Feb. 23. Proceed from the event will benefit the nonprofit Mount Ashland Ski Patrol.

The bash starts with skiing and snowboard demonstrations at 10 a.m. Entry costs $5. The cafe will be open and there will be dancing and live music by The Lincoln Project, an Ashland funk and rock band, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. A torchlight parade will begin at 9 p.m., followed by a spectacle of fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

Admission to the lodge is free; lift tickets are required for night skiing and boarding. See for information.
