  • Local music springs up in "Pan's Meadow," a new CD by David Scoggin.
    A keyboard player and Southern Oregon University music professor, Scoggin teamed up with Ashland musicians and others to record the collection of jazz music he composed.
    He and some of the featured musicians will play tunes from the new release and also jam at 7 p.m. at his studio at Briscoe ArtWing, 265 N. Main St. Guests should use the Laurel Street entrance.
    Admission is free, and copies of "Pan's Meadow" will be available for purchase.
