Edward Geller, formerly of Ashland, Ore. passed away in his most recent home in Alaska, on February 8, 2013. Edward was born May 17, 1946, in Lakewood, N.J. He came out West to attend Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Ore. After graduation, he opened a chiropractic practice in Southern Oregon where he lived with his wife and two sons.
During his career, Dr. Geller was dedicated to helping others overcome a variety of physical aliments and challenges through the use of chiropractic and naturopathic treatments. He served his patients with great care and compassion. The desire to help others went beyond the office into his community. Upon moving to the Green Springs after retirement, he volunteered with the Green Springs Search and Rescue.
Edward was an avid outdoorsman who loved spending time in nature, his real home. He spent much of his recreational time in the mountains hiking, snowshoeing, and camping or just walking with his dog. He enjoyed more extreme challenges such as mountain climbing and kayaking in rivers as well. His sense of curiosity and adventure eventually led him to relocate to Alaska last summer with his German Shepherd, Bullet.
Two beloved sons, Drew and Ryan Geller and two sisters, Janis Shade and Lorraine Cohen, survive him. He will be greatly missed. His Spirit will walk beside us in the mountains, and the wind in the trees will forever remind us of his gentle presence.
