Mouthwatering chocolate will be the high point of the ninth annual Ashland festival. The event will kick off with the Chocolate Makers dinner at 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 1, at Larks Home Kitchen Cuisine in the Ashland Springs Hotel, 212 E. Main St. Chef Damon Jones will create a four-course dinner with chocolate in each dish. The dinner will be accompanied by a presentation from a chocolatier. The cost is $62.
A chocolate sculpture created by chef Darrell Folck, along with art, vendors and local wines, will be featured in the hotel's lobby from 5 to 8 p.m. during Ashland's First Friday art walk.
From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, March 2-3, more than 50 Oregon chocolatiers and specialty-food vendors will present their products at the hotel.
