WHITE CITY — Cascade Community Pool is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the 100-Mile Club during an open house from 7 a.m. to noon on Monday.
The pool is at 7800 Division Road.
The club started as a means to motivate pool-goers into swimming. A mileage chart was originally posted on March 3, 2003. Swimmers count their laps and fill in the distance they swim on each visit. A pin is awarded for each 100 miles.
In the past decade, there have been 27 swimmers who completed at least 100 miles.
Three — Cindy Sweet, Juliana Kelsall and Connie Smith — have eclipsed 1,300 miles, or about distance from Portland to San Diego.
Sweet was the first to pass 1,000 yards, doing so two years ago. Her collection of pins will be displayed during Monday's open house, which will include coffee and cake.
