Stevens finishes 12th in 60 hurdles

GENEVA, Ohio — Returning All-American Sullivan Stevens advanced to the 60-meter hurdles semifinals Friday, finishing 12th in the event for Southern Oregon University at the 2013 NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships.

After advancing to the finals and placing seventh in the event last season to earn All-American honors, Stevens' 12th-place finish was a one-spot improvement on his regular-season ranking of 13th. He finished both the preliminary and semifinal races with identical times of 8.24 seconds, .04 out of the top eight to advance to the finals.

The Southern Oregon distance medley relay team will close out the Raiders' trip to the national meet in the final race tonight.
