    Dee Peterson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully in her own home last Friday evening.
    Dallas (Dee) Lee Peterson was born in Iredell County, North Carolina to E.C. Sharpe and Etta Meadows Sharpe. Dee moved across the country to Ashland, Oregon in 1948. On January 2, 1950, she married Gordon Peterson. Gordon and Dee enjoyed 63 years of marriage together.
    In addition to being a full-time wife and mother, Dee worked at Shady Cove Elementary School. She retired as head cook and manager of food services after working 27 years. She was always busy, even in retirement. Her hobbies were many, including gardening, oil painting, cross-stitch, cake decorating, collecting carnival glass, and genealogy.
    Dee is survived by her husband, Gordon; daughter, Connie Prettyman; daughter and son-in law, Mikie and Steve Jones; daughter-in-law, Marti Peterson; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren (with one on the way.) She was preceded in death by her mother and father; all eight of her siblings; and son, Ray Peterson, in 2010.
    A viewing will be held from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Conger-Morris Funeral Home, 767 S. Riverside Ave., Medford. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at New Song Church, 4044 Crater Lake Avenue, #E, Medford.
    Dee passed peacefully, after being cared for by her husband, Gordon, for many years. Gordon wishes to extend his particular thanks to his son-in-law, Steve Jones, and other family members and caregivers for all their help and assistance over the last few months. Dee was greatly loved and will be missed by all her family.
