  • Margaret June Markham passed away February 27, 2013, at Rogue Regional Medical Center. She was born May 17, 1932 in Tucson, Ariz. to parents Frank and Kathleen Markham.
June, the flower lady, was an avid gardener and pleased all her neighbors at Patio Village with her begonias, geraniums, and petunias. Her neighbors especially loved her fountain with the colored lights and would often use it for meditation and contemplation. Her holiday decorations started at Easter and went to Halloween with ghosts hanging in the tree and pumpkins, to Thanksgiving, and then Christmas with her holiday lights and her well-known Santa Claus cookies.
She is survived by daughters, Ruth Cox and Shar Moore (Bobby); sons, Ron and Ray Simmons; sister, LaRue Kruger; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Marilyn McCall.
Her kindness and compassion for others touched many lives. Her family would cherish your memories if you'd like to share them.
