Patrick Hocking has been named chief administrative and finance officer for Asante.

For the past 11 years, Hocking has served as director of strategic planning and business development, decision support director, and then vice president of finance.

He will oversee management of financial services and programs for Asante and its subsidiaries, including finance, business office, patient registration, revenue cycle, supply chain, liscensure, insurance and regulatory, community pharmacy and payor contracting.

Hocking first dealt with Asante as part of an audit team from accounting firm Deloitte and Touche, which was reviewing Rogue Regional Medical Center in 1985 and 1986.

From 1987 to 1996, he had a variety of roles, including finance director.

From 1998 through 2002, he served as the compliance officer for Asante.

Hocking earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in business with an emphasis in accounting from Southern Oregon University and a Master of Science degree in finance from Northeastern University. He is also a certified public accountant.

U.S. Bank has promoted Blair Sundell to assistant vice president. Sundell is a wholesale banking team relationship manager focusing on middle- to large-size manufacturers, the service industry, and commercial real-estate clients, among others.

Sundell has been with U.S. Bank since 2008, most recently serving as assistant relationship manager and personal banker. He is a graduate of Southern Oregon University, with a bachelor's degree in finance and economics.

Sundell is one of nine candidates — systemwide — selected to spend the next two years in U.S. Bank's "Leaders of Tomorrow" program

He will work out of the bank's downtown Medford office.
