Anthony "Tony" Georgianna passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013, in his sleep. He was born August 22, 1922 in North Arlington, N.J. He grew up in Bell Gardens, California.

He served in the CCC prior to joining the Navy in June of 1942 and served as a gunner's mate throughout the war. After the war, he became an electrician and was a lifetime member of the I.B.E.W. working as a licensed supervising electrician into his middle 70s. For many years he was an active member of the Ashland Elks Lodge, known for the many incredible Italian dinners he put on during the years. Tony loved Italian cooking and put on a number of dinners, not only the Elks, but also for the Military and electrical trade.

He was a member of the Oregon National Guard, retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer W-4 in 1981 after a distinguished and memorable career of over 30 years.

He was married for 70 years to his wife, Bobbie (Barbara) who survives. He is survived by his sons, Bob and Rod Georgianna; daughter, Toni Gay Lowe; ten grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren and counting.

He was a man with a heart of gold, generous with his time, money, and skills, always helping those in need, both in and out of his family. He loved people, family, children, and friends and was loved in return.

We will all miss you

Papa Tony!
