Ski for a food donation

Mt. Ashland will give out free lift tickets in exchange for five cans of food Sunday, April 7, during its annual "Ski & Snowboard Against Hunger" event.

All donated food will go to the ACCESS Food Share Pantry Network to feed Jackson County residents.

Skiers and snowboarders should bring food to the ACCESS service truck parked in the lot near the lodge. Protein-rich foods, including canned tuna and meat, peanut butter, and beans, are highly sought. Any donated non-perishable food item will be accepted, however.

All-day lift tickets will be good from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
