"The Metaphysics of Notation," abstract, ink drawings of music notation by composer Mark Applebaum, will be displayed through Saturday, April 27, at the Schneider Museum of Art on the Southern Oregon University campus, 1250 Siskiyou Blvd., Ashland.

Throughout the exhibit, various musicians are scheduled to perform Applebaum's score in the gallery: Performances are from 11 a.m. to noon Fridays and include the Compas percussion trio March 15, Todd Barton and Bruce Bayard March 22, David Bithell April 5, Tessa Brinckman April 12, Christine Williams April 19 and Jeff Richmond and Terry Longshore April 26.

Fighting Men," works by Mileon Golub, Peter Voulkos and Jack Kirby, will be displayed Friday, April 5, through Saturday, June 8, in the museum's entrance and center galleries, and sculptures by Portland artist Venessa Calvert will be displayed Thursday, April 4, through Saturday, April 27, in the Treehaven Gallery.
