Cheese, glorious cheese is the centerpiece of a festival in Central Point.
The annual Oregon Cheese Festival hosted by Rogue Creamery touts an outdoor food and wine market under a 10,000-square-foot tent. Representatives from Oregon creameries, along with other artisan food producers, vintners and brewers, will be on hand for samples and sales from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Central Point creamery, 311 N. Front St.
Chester Hastings, chef and author of “The Cheesemonger’s Kitchen,” will be at the market, and children’s activities and games will be available.
Admission is $15 and includes samples and demonstrations. A commemorative wine glass costs $5 and includes wine tastings.
