Lucille Elizabeth Skeeter joined both her Savior and her soulmate, Paul Warren Skeeter, in Heaven March 18, 2013. Born December 11, 1926, in West Virginia, Lucky worked in factories in WWII making airplane parts in our nation's defense plants as a Rosie the Riveter.
While majoring in journalism, she aspired and succeeded not only professionally, but personally as well as a mother, wife, and friend. On June 5, 1946, Lucky married Paul Skeeter. Their 66 years together can only be described as iconic. They shared their passion for adventure, travel, art, and ultimately family with each other. The unconditional love and kindness she extended upon all those who crossed her path will forever remember her spirit.
As a beloved mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, Lucky was our matriarch, our mother, and our friend. Left behind are her five children, son, Paul Skeeter Jr. (Denise); daughters, Marilyn Myers (Dave), Nancy Trubenbach (Dave), Cathy Spengler (Steve), and Jodie Millard; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and countless friends who loved her beyond words.
