Type 2 diabetes is a serious disease that strikes nearly 26 million people in the U.S. In addition, 79 million Americans, one in three of all adults over the age of 20, have pre-diabetes, a condition that puts them at risk for developing type 2 diabetes. Complications are serious and potentially life-threatening if ignored.
