Motorcycle club sets run for kids' Easter baskets

Freebird Motorcycle Club will host an Easter basket run to give Easter baskets to local foster children at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 30. The run will start at Valley of the Rogue State Park at Exit 45-B off Interstate 5 and will end at the Eagles Club in Medford.

Registration for the run will begin at 9 a.m. with a $5 fee for passengers and a $10 fee for riders. Registration includes free coffee, doughnuts, a spaghetti feed, music, a no-host bar, a raffle, a 50/50 drawing and an auction.

Participants are creating hundreds of baskets, filled with candy, eggs and toys. Call 541-324-2057.

Merkley slates town halls in Southern Oregon

U.S. Sen. Jeff Merkley, D-Ore., will hold town hall meetings in Jackson and Josephine counties on Monday, April 1.

Merkley will hold his sessions at 10 a.m. in the Grants Pass Community Center, 234 S.W. L St.; and at 7 p.m. in the Talent Elementary School cafeteria, 307 W. Wagner St.

Library offers help on downloading materials

The Medford library will offer drop-in, one-on-one sessions to assist people in downloading eBooks, audiobooks and videos from the library's collection.

As part of a program called Need2Know: Digital Book Downloads, the sessions will be available from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday, April 1, at the library, 205 S. Central Ave. Call 541-774-8679 or visit www.jcls.org.
