Man arrested after running from cops

A man is in jail after reportedly fleeing from a traffic stop and running from police Tuesday, Medford police reported.

Antonio Justin Serna, 24, is held in the Jackson County Jail without bail on charges of attempting to elude police, attempting to elude on foot, reckless driving, driving while suspended, and a probation violation.

The chase started just before 4 p.m. Tuesday when Medford police attempted to make a traffic stop for an alleged violation near the corner of West Main and Chestnut streets. The vehicle, a 2003 Ford F150, failed to yield and drove away from the officer, police said. Serna, the driver, jumped out of the truck near the intersection of Meadows Lane and Chestnut Street and ran.

Police later found Serna hiding under a pickup truck in the 400 block of Benson Street. He was arrested and lodged in the Jackson County Jail.
