Franklin McDaniel


Mac was born and raised in Missouri and moved to California in 1951 where he worked for the Bureau of Indian Affairs as a mechanic. Continuing work with the Bureau, he moved to Alaska in 1963. In 1973, he moved to Medford, Ore. where he worked for the City of Medford, retiring as shop foreman.

Mac was a musical performer who played the guitar and sang. He liked to dance and was an active member in his church.

He is survived by his longtime companion, Dora Payton, of Medford, Ore.; children, Gary McDaniel, of Nehalem, Ore., Teresa Roy, of Oregon, Robin Ingrim, of Anchorage, Alaska, Sherrie Wark, of Anchorage, and Candy McDaniel, of Portland, Ore.; his youngest brother, Glenn, of Michigan; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Sat., April 6, 2013 at 1870 Stewart Ave., Medford, Ore.
